The US Review of Books accepts published books and prepublication galleys for review. (No manuscripts please.) We also review published e-books and audio books. A book review includes written coverage and category placement in our on-line publication. New reviews are listed on the recent reviews page and in our newsletter to over 14,000 subscribers. Additional services, such as book image display, link inclusion, feature placement, and banner placement may be requested. You can also get your title in front of thousands of social media followers.

Here's how to get your book(s) reviewed:

We have made the process easy. Simply select a book review package below, and we will guide you from there. However, if you are curious, here is how the review process works:

Select a review package below, and pay by credit card via our secure server. Note: If you cannot pay by credit card, send a check or money order to Hopewell Publications, Attn: The US Review of Books, PO Box 11, Titusville, NJ 08560. Please include a valid e-mail address, but DO NOT SEND THE BOOK.

Shortly after receiving your review request, we will contact you via e-mail for the book data. We need to know the title, a brief description, and review category before we schedule a review.

Once your book is scheduled with a reviewer, we will send a shipping address. Please send the book within 10 days of receiving the shipping address. (E-books and audio books may be sent as e-mail attachments.)

Reviews are typically written, edited, and published in 3-4 weeks after receiving your book. When the review is written, we will send a copy of the review prior to publication. If additional services were requested, we will provide a schedule for those review features.

You may pay securely with a credit card or PayPal. All charges are made through our parent company, Hopewell Publications, LLC.

Review

The Review package includes an approximately 250-300 word review of your book, which will be permanently listed by title under one category. Your title will also be listed under recent reviews for one month and in the monthly newsletter to over 14,000 subscribers. Each review will have quick access buttons linking the review to hundreds of potential social media sites.

Plus Review

The Plus Review package includes the services of the basic Review, as well as the inclusion of the book cover image and one website link. Both the book cover image and website link must be provided by the author or the author's representative. Note: The link must be to a sales or informational website regarding the book or author. The US Review has the right to refuse a link when necessary.

Feature Review

The Feature Review package includes the services of the Plus Review, as well as main page feature placement of your book review for one month. Feature placement involves teaser content of your book review, including the book image and a link to our complete review. There is also a special "Featured Book" section in our newsletter. This option is renewable for one and three-month periods.

Premium Review

The Premium Review package includes the services of the Feature Review, as well as main page banner placement for one month and a book mention to the thousands of followers on our GoodReads, Twitter, and Facebook feeds. (The majority of our competitors use fake social media followers—a damaging and illegal practice.) Banner placement involves a book cover image and link in the premium banner position of the main page. Depending on the number of premium requests, your placement will show from 33 to 100% (typically 50%) of the time. This option is renewable for one and three-month periods. Note: Due to space restrictions, this service cannot always be scheduled to coincide with the release of your book review.

Platinum Review

The Platinum Review package includes the services of the Premium Review, but in an extended feature article about the book and author. While all of our reviews provide solid and professional coverage, this is our most in-depth feature in content and length. The article, which will appear on the front page of our publication, will run at least 500 words and include further summary, criticism, and source materials. It should form a great addition to your public profile and media kits.

First Chapter Review

The First Chapter Review package is a dynamic feature where our top writers take a look at the power and focus of the all-important first chapter. The review includes an intense 100-150 word focus on the book's beginning (first chapter only; 20-page, 6000-word limit) and will be presented on the front page of our publication for one month, along with a link to the first chapter. This review and its associated first chapter will be permanently archived to maximize exposure and search engine optimization (SEO). NOTE: First Chapter Reviews should be attributed as "US Review of Books, First Chapter Reviews" in all publicity and media coverage.

Express Review

Need a review written right away? The Express Review package includes the services of the Plus Review, but delivered in ten days or less (from the day the reviewer receives your book). The Feature and Premium services can be added at an additional cost.

Terms of Service: Under normal circumstances, book reviews will be returned within 3-4 weeks from the day the reviewer receives the book. (Express Reviews are delivered within 10 days of receiving the book.) Books for review must arrive within 30 days of initial order. A positive review is not guaranteed. The purchaser may elect to not publish the review or schedule publication for a later date. If no response is given within 14 days of the completed review, the review may be automatically published.
